What
is the GED?
GED
stands for General Educational Development. It is for
people
who do not have a high school diploma. When you pass the
GED
tests, you receive a Kansas State high school diploma from the Kansas
Board of Regents. Preparation is important. The required,
official GED practice tests are available at the Adult
Education Center.
Who
can take the GED?
You
must:
- be
a Kansas resident
- not
be currently enrolled in high school
- be
16 or older (students 16 and 17 years of age must
have a signed release from high school)

What is on the GED?
The
GED exam has five parts:

writing skills
- social
studies
- science
- interpreting
literature and the arts
- mathematics

your name and address, social security card,
etc.)
